Simple geometry. If you can see 6, and the frame is blocking enough space for a barrel, there should be 8 in that cylinder.
Even though there ARE 8 shot revolvers out there, traditionally they're 6 shooters and I'd buy the shirt if it was 6 instead of 8. Just looks too wrong for my schema.

Jacko, this is what revolvers look like when they're not cocked back. When you cock them the wheel moves a little bit to the left setting up the bullet, so therefore this is a six shot revolver.
