Well considering you find this around a bunch of other video game related products of course its a reference to cheat codes... I thought it was the level select for sonic the hedgehog but i think that was up down left right A + start... Who cares if its song lyrics they clearly took the code from a game because it worked well for the song and they probably were gamers.

Look up the lyrics anywhere for the Moldy Peaches song and it is exactly as the shirt says. So you guys have been singing it wrong or heard it wrong. I'm buying this shirt because my boyfriend and I love this song and we are both gamers :D

Everyone who is saying that the line from The Mouldy Peaches song is this code, you're wrong. The song says up down up down left right b a start. This is up UP down DOWN left right LEFT RIGHT b a start. Notice the caps? The song is missing them.

WOW!.. a lot of 360 console kids here, it's CONTRA CODE!.. and yes Konami use it on other games, but it got it's fame from CONTRA. (a video game reference to Commando and Rambo movies at the time)
